Raising Awareness

Raising Awareness

Thanks to the Le Support foundation, the APPHBM is able to continue its mission to raise awareness within the population and local organizations by offering awareness-raising activities and integrating people with disabilities into society.

With the help of its representatives, the APPBHM can work on raising awareness in the community by using different activity kiosques. The kiosques provide information on intellectual disabilities and/or autism in order to demystify stereotypes. It is important to the Association to help others understand what these people go through on a daily basis and show that they contribute in a positive way to our society. Here are some locations and events where APPHBM awareness kiosques can be found:

  • Intellectual Disability Week (High Schools, businesses, etc)
  • Autism Awareness Month in April (High Schools, businesses, etc)
  • Community events and special occasions (Summer Beach Party, Public Market, etc)

We would like to thank the Le Support foundation for sponsoring our project to make it a reality!
